The Hospital Authority today said that a COVID-19 patient passed away, taking the number of COVID-19 patients who died in public hospitals to 98.

 

The 90-year-old male patient, who had chronic disease, was an old-age home resident. He was admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital on July 23 when he tested positive for the virus.

 

He was transferred to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on July 30. His condition continued to deteriorate and he succumbed at 8.57am.
