The Hospital Authority today announced that a 69-year-old male COVID-19 patient passed away, taking the number of COVID-19 patients who died in public hospitals to 67.


The patient with chronic disease was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on July 30 due to shortness of breath.


He was transferred to the hospital’s intensive care unit when his condition deteriorated on August 5. His condition continued to deteriorate and he succumbed at 4.58pm.
