The Leisure & Cultural Services Department today said a library staff has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.

 

The library staff works at Lam Tin Public Library on the fifth and sixth floors of Lam Tin Complex in Kwun Tong and last performed duties on August 18. All facilities of the library have been closed since July 15.

 

She sought medical advice after feeling unwell and was notified last night that she had preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.

 

The library staff, who has no recent travel history, wore surgical masks and her body temperature was normal while working.

 

Thorough cleaning and sterilisation of the library and public facilities of Lam Tin Complex will be arranged.

 

The department emphasised that it will maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection and reminded staff members to pay attention to personal hygiene.
