The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department today announced that the subsidy schemes for commercial bathhouse licence holders and places of public entertainment licence holders will open tomorrow.

Introduced under the third round of the Anti-epidemic Fund, the Commercial Bathhouse Subsidy Scheme will provide a one-off subsidy of $50,000 to each licence holder of a commercial bathhouse.

The Places of Public Entertainment Licence (PPEL) Holder Subsidy Scheme will provide a one-off subsidy of $50,000 for each holder of a PPEL, excluding cinema operators eligible under the Cinemas Subsidy Scheme, and $10,000 for each eligible holder of a temporary PPEL.

The deadline for applications is November 9.

Application forms and guidelines can be downloaded from the department’s website or obtained from its District Environmental Hygiene Offices starting tomorrow.

The department said disbursement of subsidies could generally be made in approximately two weeks after verification.
